I have always had a love of photography.
As a kid I would spend hours with Life, Look, or any type of magazine or book in which the content was richly incorporated with photography.
After high school, I purchased a Canon TX 35mm camera and began taking my own photographs.
Film of course does not yield the freedom of digital medium and it was costly to get into this hobby. So while I learned the fundamentals, it was not long before the camera ended up on the shelf.
20 plus years later, in honor of a milestone event in my life, I purchased a Kodak DX6490 Digital Power Zoom Camera. Already comfortable with imaging programs, the digital darkroom called out to me. It was not long before I was consumed by this hobby and saw the shortcomings of that handy little Kodak.

Like any child (am I really 50) I begged and pleaded with my better half to upgrade cameras and it was not long until I was once again a proud Canon Camera owner. I now have a 300D and 20D and recently added an Olympus power zoom camera that will serve as my daily knock about as I hate not having a camera with me. I can not tell you how many times I have seen an amazing image yet had not a single tool to capture it.
Often on weekends, my wife and I go off on photo excursions. It has brought us great joy over the past few years. Browse my galleries please, I hope you enjoy what you see. |
